Pokémon Legends: Arceus - Best Nature for Thundurus
In Pokémon Legends: Arceus, Thundurus is one of the strongest Electric-types available in the game, and the right nature can significantly improve Thundurus' strengths. Alongside Landorus and Tornadus, Thundurus is part of the Legendary Kami trio introduced in Pokémon Black and Pokémon White. Thundurus' greatest strength comes from its Special Attack stat, and the best nature for Thundurus will complement its exceptionally high stats.
Players can find and catch Landorus, Thundurus, and Tornadus in Pokémon Legends: Arceus in the quest called "Incarnate Forces of Hisui," which is only available only after "Seeking the Remaining Plates" is completed. Specifically, players can find and catch Thundurus in the Cobalt Coastlands during a rainstorm near the Coastland Campsite. Since Thundurus is an Electric- and Flying-type Pokémon, players should use either Rock-type or Ice-type Pokémon to counter it in Legends: Arceus.
Although Thundurus' strongest stat is its Special Attack, the Electric- and Flying-type Pokémon also has exceptional Attack and Speed stats. Unfortunately, Thundurus doesn't have many physical attacks available to it, so players should stick to using a Thundurus with a nature that will either improve its Special Attack or Speed stat while lowering the Attack stat. Using Agile and Strong style attacks in Legends: Arceus in combination with its best nature, Thundurus can outspeed and exploit the weaknesses of other Pokémon with lower Special Defense stats.
With a Modest nature, Thundurus can further improve upon its Special Attack stat while decreasing its Attack stat. For pure power, the Modest nature is the perfect option for Thundurus in Pokémon Legends: Arceus because its Special Attack stat will max out at 383 in its Incarnate Forme. In its Therian Forme, Thundurus' Special Attack stat can reach 427, which is higher than any other Pokémon's Special Attack stat in Legends: Arceus other than Dialga and Palkia. For comparison, a Modest nature Thundurus that remains in the Incarnate Forme has the same Special Attack stat as Hisuian Zoroark in Pokémon Legends: Arceus.
It's difficult to decide which nature is the best for Thundurus because while the Modest nature will raise its Special Attack stat, a Timid nature will raise its Speed stat. Thundurus is one of the fastest Pokémon in Legends: Arceus, but its Incarnate Forme is much faster than its Therian Forme. If Thundurus is left in its Incarnate Forme in Legends: Arceus then it should have a Modest nature, but players who want to use the Therian Forme should make sure Thundurus has a Timid nature. In both cases, the respective natures will improve Thundurus' second-best stat, giving it a chance to outspeed and defeat any opponent, even Alpha Pokémon, in Legends: Arceus.
