The Impractical Jokers Return With Eric Andrè In Huge Special Episode
The Impractical Jokers make their triumphant return with an upcoming special episode, guest-starring actor and fellow comedian, Eric Andrè. The comedy troupe have become a worldwide success, thanks to their silly but mostly harmless practical jokes at the expense of the show's quartet. Thanks to their enormous likability, the hidden camera pranksters have achieved an incredible 9-season run, with a feature-length movie also released in February 2020. Despite recently parting ways with founding member Joe Gatto, the show has been renewed for an upcoming 26-episode season 10.
Shared by Deadline, the Impractical Jokers are due to return sooner than expected, with a special episode set to air on April 2. Filling Gatto's spot is comedian, and no stranger to pranking, Andrè, making the star the latest in a series of guests to grace the comedy TV show. The bumper episode will also be shared simultaneously on TBS, TNT, and truTV.
While future installments of the show will always have a Gatto-shaped hole, Andrè is a fantastic choice to fill the comedy legend's seat. Andrè has demonstrated a penchant for comedy tomfoolery in the past, recently starring in and adding his writing credentials to the slightly more extreme prank franchise in Jackass Forever, so the hijinks of the Impractical Jokers sounds like the perfect place for Andrè to flex his comedy muscles. With the show moving forward without Gatto, the inclusion of Andrè also hints that the show will include more guest stars going forward.
