I accidentally spilled red wine all over my couch – my simple trick will help you remove any stains like magic
WE’VE all been there: you’re enjoying a glass of red wine while sitting on a crisp white couch, and you accidentally spill it all over the cushions.
When this happens, many of us begin to frantically google how to remove the stain and are presented with dozens of options so we don’t know which to follow.
A man on TikTok said he knows the best way to remove stains[/caption] A website created by Illininois.edu allows people to discover solutions for hundreds of stains[/caption]A man who goes by @Kadama on TikTok revealed a website that will solve all your stain-cleaning problems.
All you have to do is go to this website extension created by Illinois.edu.
As you’ll see, there is a search bar on the page.
Type in the stain you need to clean. For example: wine.
You’ll be taken to a page that lists a few different fabrics you may have stained, with instructions on how to clean each.
For upholstery, it says you will only need detergent.

It then lists the “Steps to Clean”:
- Mix one tablespoon of liquid dishwashing detergent with two cups of cool water.
- Using a clean white cloth, sponge the stain with the detergent solution.
- Blot until the liquid is absorbed.
- Repeat Steps two and three until the stain disappears.
- Sponge with cold water and blot dry to remove the detergent solution.
For “Washable Fabrics” like t-shirts, it says you will need liquid hand dishwashing detergent, white vinegar, rubbing alcohol, enzyme presoak product, and chlorine bleach or oxygen bleach.
On the website, there are also solutions for baby food stains, beer stains, berry stains, makeup stains, and coffee stains—one for coffee with creamer, and one for coffee without creamer.
The website includes step-by-step instructions on how to clean the fabric[/caption]We pay for your stories!
