TikTok users worldwide & growth forecast (2021-2025)

Facebook is the leading social network by far, but our inaugural forecast reveals that TikTok is now the third-largest worldwide platform. TikTok will have 755.0 million monthly users this year. By and large, TikTok's ascent to global phenomenon has been incredibly quick. It more than doubled its worldwide user base between 2019 and 2021 (291.4 million to 655.9 million). By 2025, it will approach 1 billion users.

TikTok is substantially larger than Snapchat and will grow at double the rate of Snapchat this year. Marketers that have invested in Snapchat should probably also be on TikTok. The video creative capabilities and creator partnership opportunities are two things that set TikTok apart from Snapchat.
