Arsenal lead Manchester United and Tottenham as favourites to clinch last top four spot

ARSENAL have leapfrogged Manchester United and Tottenham in the bookies’ market to the land the last top-four spot.

All three clubs won on at the weekend as they keep the pressure on one another to clinch a place in the Champions league with Spurs recording a memorable 3-2 win away to Man City.

Arsenal, Man Utd and Spurs are fighting for fourth with Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea expected to finish in the top three.

Arsenal comfortably beat Brentford in a 2-1 win at the Emirates while Manchester United saw off bitter rivals Leeds 4-2 at Elland Road.

Arsenal are now priced at 7/5 to secure a top-four finish with Betfair.

While Man Utd are a slightly bigger price at 13/8 while Spurs are third in line at 5/2.

West Ham have drastically drifted 9/1 to 14/1 to grab a place in the top four after drawing 1-1 at home to Newcastle.

Premier League legend Alan Shearer has made his top four prediction, with Spurs pipping their rivals to the post.

He told Optus Sport: “Before a ball was kicked I did say Chelsea [to win the league] – I’m having severe doubts now.

“The run that Man City have been on, they’ve just been relentless and Pep [Guardiola] is just incredible, the way he keeps drilling out results and getting the best out of all of those players that he’s got.

“It’s difficult with so many good players because every good player wants to play every week and how he handles that is hugely important.

“So I’ll probably have to say Man City [will win] I don’t think anyone will beat them now.

“Man City, Liverpool, Chelsea… I’ve been really impressed with Arteta and Arsenal and how he’s handled things, but [Antonio] Conte going into Spurs and with Harry Kane and Son [Heung-min] up front, I think I might say Spurs into fourth position.”
