Putin tells Macron and Scholz he intends to sign decree on Donbas soon

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has called President Vladimir Putin after a meeting of the Russian Security Council on the recognition of the DPR and LPR

The chancellor’s press service said Scholz condemned plans to recognise “the so-called Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics as independent states”.

“Such a move would be in sharp contradiction to the Minsk agreements on the peaceful resolution of the conflict in eastern Ukraine and would be a unilateral violation of those agreements by Russia”, –  Scholz warned.
