The One Show in massive presenter shake-up all week as Jermaine Jenas is ruled out with Covid
THE One Show will have a new line-up this week after Jermaine Jenas was ruled out with Covid.
Viewers were expecting to see him on the show today but were greeted instead by Lauren Laverne and Angellica Bell.
Lauren, 43, revealed Jermaine would be out for the entire week exclaiming: “Flipping heck.”
She said: “Covid’s back in the news today. Boris Johnson’s just announced all restrictions are lifting in England.
“However, on our team we’ve been talking about the fact that Jermaine’s tested positive. Flipping heck.”
She added: “So he won’t be here for the rest of the week. Get well soon, mate.”
Former footballer Jermaine, 39 – who played for Newcastle and Spurs – is now a TV pundit and a popular BBC host.
The One Show airs on BBC One every weekday, with Alex Jones, Ronan Keating and Jermaine the most regular presenters.

Last week Alex hosted alongside Rylan Clark, who has been a guest host on teatime series since 2017.
She is the programme’s longest-serving presenter, fronting The One Show since 2010, forming a memorable partnership with Matt Baker.
Just before The One Show began Boris Johnson announced the dropping of Covid rules, hailing Britain’s supercharged jabs rollout for wrestling down infections and deaths.
The £500 self-isolation payments will end on Thursday, while the £96 sick pay handout for Covid-stricken Brits will be dropped on March 24.
And on April 1 the free testing regime will be wound down, except for the most vulnerable.
