Llandovery v Pontypridd – Matchday Preview

Pontypridd travel to play Llandovery in the Indigo Group Welsh Premiership on Sunday 27th February, the match kicking off at 2:30pm.

It will be the first match between the clubs for over two years, the last time Ponty and The Drovers played was Saturday 7th December 2019 at Church Bank Playing Fields. Llandovery won a close fought contest that day 18-8 with Ponty’s points coming from a Jamie Hill try and a Diggy Bird penalty.

Another tough away day awaits Ponty and no doubt Llandovery will be buoyed by their 43-36 bonus point win at The Wern against Merthyr last Saturday. The updated, current Welsh Premiership standings after the weekend’s matches is below.

The Pontypridd RFC Supporters Club will be running a bus to the match on Sunday and we will be posting an article containing all the finer details including how to book on it tomorrow (Tuesday).
