Yesterday Russian Pres. Vladimir Putin signed a treaty w/the two leaders of the breakaway republics of Donetsk and Lugansk recognizing them as sovereign states. As part of the treaty he ordered Russian peacekeepers and Russian military into the two republics. Putin recognized the 2014 Minsk agreements had failed prompting him to take the -- action he did. For sure the crisis in Ukraine is not over. The next chapter has just begun.
