Shay Given questions if Antonio Conte ‘has something else lined up’ with Man Utd after Tottenham quit hint
TOTTENHAM boss Antonio Conte could have a move to Manchester United on his mind according to Shay Given.
The Italian manager has only been at Spurs since November but the former Republic of Ireland goalkeeper believes “he has something else lined up.”
Following another disappointing defeat by Burnley last night 1-0, their fourth loss in their last five games, Conte hinted at stepping away from Spurs.
Given, 45, said on talkSPORT this morning that “he looks like he wants to walk away.”
The former Man City star claimed: “Conte looks like he wants out.
“My concern is he has something else lined up.
“It feels like Man Utd need someone strong to sort that dressing room out.
“If you look at where Man Utd are at, there looks like a perfect fix there.”

United could be interested in Conte with there set to be a managerial vacancy at Old Trafford in the summer with current boss Ralf Rangnick expected to take a role ‘upstairs’.
The former Chelsea and Juventus boss cast doubt over his Spurs future in his post-match interview last night, saying, “I have to talk to the club.
“I came in to try to improve the situation in Tottenham but maybe at this moment, I don’t know, I’m not so good to improve the situation.”
Conte has a reputation for moving on swiftly when things begin to go against him.
He left Inter Milan despite winning the Serie A title last season as the club had to sell a number of star players.
Therefore, a switch to the Red Devils isn’t out of the equation despite United being interested in PSG boss Mauricio Pochettino and highly-rated Ajax coach Erik ten Hag.
However, Conte’s experience and CV could tempt the Old Trafford hierarchy if he leaves Spurs.
