I couldn't find a thread about books and authors, so this is the place you can recommend and enthuse about your favourite stories and writers.
One of my favourite authors is Conn Iggulden who is famous for historical novels. I've read his Emperor series about Julius Caesar, the Conqueror series about Genghis Khan, the War Of The Roses Series, and just finished Dunstan.
A brilliant author who paints a vivid picture. Reading his books is like taking part in ancient events for me, and rubbing shoulders with famous historical figures.
