Ant and Dec hit back at ‘woman face’ Ofcom controversy by saying they want to appear on RuPaul’s Drag Race
IT’S difficult to imagine just how sad you would need to be to complain to Ofcom about Ant and Dec doing drag.
Yet that’s what happened when the duo underwent a magical transformation on Saturday Night Takeaway last week.
A tragic 59 people grumbled to watchdog Ofcom when they appeared as the Angels of the North — but I doubt the Geordies regret the decision.
According to their make-up artist, Ellis Atlantis, they threw themselves into the project, heart and soul.
And they’d even consider being judges on RuPaul’s Drag Race now.
Speaking on the United Queendom podcast Ellis — who won the first series of BBC Three’s Glow Up — said: “I asked Dec this — would you be a guest judge on Drag Race?
“He said, ‘Prior to doing drag I wouldn’t because I don’t think I’m the right person to be on the panel to make comments.’
“‘But now I have a better understanding and appreciation and I’m such a bigger fan of it I would like to do it.’
“I feel like he would be a fun judge on Drag Race, both of them would be fun judges.”
Ant and Dec would be amazing — but they’d probably still get a handful of losers grumbling.
