Hermes to open new Aylesford depot as e-commerce boom continues
Hermes UK said it will open a distribution depot in Aylesford later this year, which will create 150 full- and part-time jobs.
It said the 79,000 sq ft warehouse on the Panattoni Park industrial estate will handle 220,000 parcels a day, double the number at its previous site in the area, and it will have the ability to operate 24/7 if required.

This is part of an ongoing investment programme by Hermes to meet the demand from the surge in online shopping.
To meet their ESG commitments, the new depot will be equipped with EV charging, smart lighting, rainwater harvesting, low carbon heating and solar panels.

“It shows the faith the business has in team Maidstone to deliver a world class service from this world class facility.”
