Ugo de Wilde Completes Muehlner Motorsport LMP2 Line-up

Muehlner Motorsport this morning confirmed that their 2022 LMP2 line up for the European Le Mans Series will see Ugo de Wilde join the already announced Mathias Kaiser and Thomas Laurent in the #21 Oreca 07 Gibson.

The 19 year old Belgian has raced for the team already in LMP3 scoring victories in the Road to Le Mans race in 2021 and in IMSA’s Prototype Challenge Series.

The team’s 2022 programmes will also include LMP3 efforts in the IMSA Weathertech Sportscar Championship’s Endurance Cup and Prototype Challenge, ELMS and ADAC Prototype Cup (1 car), the Muehlner team with a fleet of five Duqueine D08s now on strength.

In addition the team have also taken delivery of a new Porsche 992 GT3 Cup in the new for 2022 Endurance spec with traction control and ABS and will contest the NLS Cup 2 Porsche Endurance Trophy, plus the ADAC qualifying race and the Nürburgring 24 Hours. There is potential for the addition of a second car later in the 2022 season.

Muehlner have also made it clear that they are interested in entering a car in the Spa 24 Hours if a Cup class is available, and with the new breed of cars significantly quicker, they believe that a good quality driver crew can be as quick as an all-Am GT3.
