Game Of Thrones: 10 Quotes That Prove Ramsay Is The Most Evil Character

0

There are a handful of excellent villains in Game Of Thrones throughout its eight-season, ranging from the unnatural and mysterious Night King to the insufferable Joffrey Baratheon, but Ramsay Bolton may just be the cruelest of the lot. While Joffrey is, somehow, a lot more hatable, and maybe even Cersei too, the actions, as well as various quotes from Ramsay, paint him to be the evilest in the show.

There is just a brutal and inhuman quality in Ramsay that comes across as wonderfully terrifying in some of his most famous quotes, which showcase how twisted he is and how fearful others are of him.

*TRIGGER WARNING - SA SPOKEN ABOUT IN THIS LIST

Perhaps the most iconic Ramsay Bolton quote is the line that best sums up what Game Of Thrones is all about: shocking audiences and giving them endings that are oftentimes not happy - both for characters and the show itself.

This quote showcases the evil of Ramsay purely through his joy of causing despair. Theon's story with Ramsay, to him, will not have a happy ending, but for Ramsay, it will be immense, a time to relish, as he loves to cause pain for his own sick, twisted enjoyment, with no remorse in sight.

There was a time when Ramsay Snow was not known as the disgusting monster he turned out to be, and he put on a skillful facade in the faces of the likes of Littlefinger, whom he so easily lies to in this moment.

As audiences well know, Ramsay would not just hurt Sansa physically but terrorize her emotionally and psychologically. The fact he can so easily promise that, while knowing deep down he will relish the trauma he causes her shows just how sick he is, also helping to make him perhaps the best villain in season 5.

Similar to Joffrey Baratheon, Ramsay takes a sick joy in the pain and torture he unleashes on people. It's entertaining to him, and this threatening quote portrays that.

Boring Ramsay is pretty much a guarantee of being on the end of a terrible assault or a twisted game of his that results in incredible pain. If not the evilest villain, he is the sickest.

One of the most harrowing scenes from any villain in Game Of Thrones comes when Ramsay takes Myranda, Reek, and the dogs and hunts down Tansy.

Ramsay cannot just kill someone, or feed them to the dogs, something that is so entirely evil enough. No, he has to toy with them first, hunt them to satiate his lust for pain, for blood and death in as vicious a manner as possible.

Roose Bolton was hardly a likable Game Of Thrones character. He was instrumental in the Red Wedding and played a part in so many of the bad things that happened to the Starks. However, his son was far worse, and Roose's assassination turned out not to be a wholly good thing.

Even worse than Ramsay killing his father in cold blood, though, was his sending his newly born brother and step-mother to their deaths at the jaws of the dogs. He sent an innocent baby to be ripped apart by starved, abused hounds. If that is not truly evil, what is?

The "Let's play a game" line from Ramsay actually gets spoken twice by Ramsay, both showcasing how evil of an individual he is and both resulting in immense pain.

He says this to Theon at the very start of his torture and then again says it to Rickon as he sends him running to Jon Snow while shooting arrows at him, eventually killing him. It is another quote that showcases the enjoyment Ramsay takes in killing, maiming, and hurting, a joy no other villain has to his extent.

Ramsay's complete and total breaking of Theon, transforming him into Reek, is the most obvious example of his talents as a torturer and dangerous individual, and the extent to which he broke Theon could best be seen when the Ironborn went to rescue him.

What makes the whole rescue sequence even more terrifying was how Ramsay loved every second of it, uttering this line while wielding knives and looking as though he would happily tear through every single person in the room just for fun. Where Joffrey was an evil coward, Ramsay was fearless and limitless with his evil.

The Battle of the Bastards is one of the best Game Of Thrones episodes and one of the best things to ever grace television, and prior to it, the two leaders of the massive battle met and talked, with Ramsay giving these words to Jon.

All Ramsay cared about was causing violent death to the Starks and further using Sansa for his sickest desires. Every line of this monologue offers a different aspect of Ramsay's evil, from the insinuation of further sexual assault on Sansa to the neglect of his dogs which he has raised as killers, to his apparent fascination with the removal of people's body parts.

While Theon proved himself to be one of the most unlikable characters in the first couple of seasons of Game Of Thrones, he did not deserve what happened to him at the hands of Ramsay. As Ramsay points out, though, there was no justifiable reason for it happening.

That is a consistent denominator amongst all of Ramsay's evil acts, though nobody he tortures or hurts or kills really deserves it. There is no bigger reason for it. He simply enjoys it. He takes pleasure in it. That is a terrifying thing from perhaps the show's evilest villain.

The most uncomfortable and unnecessary scenes in Game Of Thrones are those involving rape, including this scene in which not only does Ramsay rape Sansa Stark but makes Theon watch on.

People have committed serious atrocities throughout Game Of Thrones, but there may be nothing as necessarily twisted as this in the entire show. On top of that, the fact that Theon obliges to this request shows just how scared of Ramsay he was and how effective of a torturer Ramsay could be.
