Daredevil star Charlie Cox wants Matt Murdock to get a rematch against Bullseye in the MCU. Cox portrayed Daredevil on the Netflix Marvel series from 2015 through Daredevil’s third season in 2018. More recently, he returned to the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the release of Spider-Man: No Way Home and can currently be seen in Kin on AMC.
Daredevil season 3 largely centered around the conflict between three characters: Matt Murdock, Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), and Benjamin Poindexter (Wilson Bethel). Though never overtly referred to as Bullseye in the season, Poindexter is very much set up as the arch-nemesis of Daredevil: a psychotic and sadistic marksman who can turn anything into a deadly projectile weapon. Taken under Fisk’s wing, he impersonates Daredevil to commit a series of murders and gets into multiple fights against Murdock during the season's run – with the Dex’s ranged skills matching Daredevil’s up-close hand-to-hand skills. However, Dex ultimately turns on Fisk when he learns that Fisk ordered the murder of Julie, a woman Dex had fallen in love with.

Now, with Charlie Cox reportedly set to continue appearing as Matt Murdock in the Marvel Cinematic Universe going forward, he has expressed interest in some storylines that he wants to explore. In fact, in a recent interview with ComicBook, the actor noted that he wants to see a rematch between Matt Murdock and Bullseye at some point. Cox said:
I would have to get more time with Bullseye. We just touched on that story, and we were just gearing up for it before we weren't allowed to continue. I really enjoyed working with Wilson Bethel on that character.

As noted by Charlie Cox in those remarks, the dynamic between Daredevil and Bullseye is only touched upon in Daredevil season 3. In fact, the finale hints at a future for Benjamin Poindexter as a more comic-accurate villain, gaining cybernetic enhancements following the crippling injuries he receives at the hands of Wilson Fisk. In the comics, Bullseye has adamantium infused throughout his body, so that could be the end result of the seeds planted in that finale. Cox's comments also seem to make it clear that he wants to continue the existing storyline, as he specifically calls out working with Bethel.
Of course, there is likely a large portion of the fanbase that would like to see Wilson Bethel return as Bullseye in the MCU as well. The character clearly has unfinished business with Matt Murdock, as the two never got a chance to properly square off one on one after the death of Father Lantom (Peter McRobbie) – they went straight to the three-way fight against Kingpin. There is currently no guarantee that Bullseye will return, but with the Netflix characters getting closer and closer to the mainline Marvel Cinematic Universe, the door still seems to be open for a potential Daredevil Season 4 to make this a reality.
