Love Is Blind: Natalie & Shayne Dated For 'Months' After Filming Wrapped
After saying no at the altar on Love Is Blind season 2, Natalie Lee and Shayne Jansen went on to date for several months once filming was complete. Viewers saw the love connection between Natalie and Shayne early on in the Netflix series, admitting that they were each other's number one picks while in the pods. Despite Shaina Hurley having strong feelings for Shayne as well, he decided that Natalie was the one for him in the end and proposed to her in the pods.
After seeing each other for the first time, the pair was excited to begin this adventure together as fiancés and possibly husband and wife. While the couple seemed solid throughout the entire season, on the night before their wedding, Natalie and Shayne had a blowout fight that ultimately led to Natalie's decision to say no at the altar. When Shayne went to talk to her after she left the altar, Natalie explained that she still wanted to give their relationship a shot.
In an exclusive interview with People, the 29-year-old says her love story with Shayne didn't end after she said no to him at the altar. Days after their wedding, Natalie and Shayne decided to get back together as an engaged couple. "A week after our wedding, we started dating again," Natalie revealed to the publication. "Maybe it's not dating — we continued our engagement again. We were together for several months." However, after several months of dating, both Natalie and Shayne realized that they "we're very different people with different needs" and decided to break up and end their relationship for good. Despite not ending up together, Natalie and Shayne have remained good friends.
In fact, Natalie and Shayne reached out to each other once Love Is Blind season 2 began streaming on Netflix last month. "As the show came out, we reached back out to one another and just talked about the memories that we had," she revealed. Natalie and Shayne became the fan-favorite couple after the show was released, with many viewers certain they would be the ones to say yes at the altar. While Natalie initially felt the same way, their massive argument the night before their wedding changed her mind about getting married to Shayne. Natalie believes Shayne's blow-up stemmed from what happened at the bachelor party, as well as an accumulation of other things like still grieving the death of his father and the pressures from the wedding. Nonetheless, Natalie will always have a place for Shanye in her heart.
After the season finale of Love Is Blind season 2 began streaming, Shayne issued a warmhearted apology to Natalie for his actions on the show. He has learned from his mistakes and hopes to be a better man for it. Natalie replied to his apology, believing he is a better man, and left the show knowing she couldn't have gone through this experience without Shayne by her side.
