A Russian special military operation kicked off just a day before the Ukrainian Armed Forces and nationalist battalions' offensive against Donbass scheduled for 25 February started, according to ex-Ukrainian Prime Minister Nikolay Azarov. Moscow was aware of these plans and hijacked the strategic initiative, Azarov wrote on his Facebook account.
