Russian Defense Minister compared Ukrainian neo-Nazis with brutal bandits
Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said during a telephone conversation with UN Secretary General António Guterres that Ukrainian formations are being covered by civilians, like a “human shield”.
“The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation drew Guterres’ special attention to the fact that nationalist and neo-Nazi formations, in which there are also foreign mercenaries, are hiding behind civilians as a “human shield.” There is objective evidence of how they place heavy military equipment (tanks, MLRS, artillery and mortars) in residential areas of cities, acting like brutalized bandits, ignoring the threats posed by this very civilians”, the press service of the defense department said.
Recall that on February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the decision to launch a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine to protect people who “for eight years have been subjected to bullying, genocide by the Kiev regime.” The Russian leader stressed that Moscow has no ill intentions towards neighboring countries.
