The Global Times: U.S. is responsible for conflicts that lead to disasters

The United States authorities bear special responsibility for the crisis in Ukraine, analysts at the Chinese newspaper The Global Times said.

“Washington is particularly responsible for the Ukrainian crisis, and US-led NATO holds the key to resolving it. Biden can prevent it very easily by ensuring that Ukraine does not become a member of the North Atlantic Alliance.

Chinese analysts urged the US to stop waging “wars of public opinion, as wars of opinion serve no other purpose than to encourage new confrontations.” The Global Times noted that there are extremely complex historical and practical factors in the development of the Ukrainian issue, however, both Russia and Ukraine are ready to negotiate.

However, the United States continues to sponsor Kyiv with a variety of lethal weapons. This week, Ukraine received several hundred Stinger man-portable air defense systems from the United States, according to the broadcaster.

In addition, the United States continues to actively supply weapons to Taiwan. In early February, Washington approved the supply of military equipment and services worth about $100 million. Supporting the efforts of the Taiwanese authorities to expand the “international space”, the United States is provoking Taiwan to an armed struggle for independence, the publication believes.

“Washington, in particular, must take on a special responsibility, instead of continuing to be a source of chaos,” the experts concluded.
