EMMERDALE fans are baffled at how Marlon Dingle missed Rhona Goskirk’s giant marriage proposal.
The chef – who is played by actor Mark Charnock in the ITV soap – was summoned to the top field where Rhona had decided to pop the question.
She originally wanted to dig out the words ‘Marry Me?’ with a spade but it was too much work.
In the end farmer Moira Barton came to the rescue.
She arrived with a stack of hay bales and a plan.
The pair assembled them into a huge formation spelling out Rhona’s romantic proposal.
But when Marlon arrived he missed it completely.

Instead he sat down on the bales and began moaning about his pop up business plan being a sham.
Even Rhona’s increasingly obvious attempts to get him to walk with her so he would see the message went ignored.
He moodily walked off telling her to carry on without him.
“Really not much point in that,” she said as she walked away from the huge marry me sign.
Viewers can’t believe how anyone could be so stupid to miss the giant message.
One wrote: “All that effort! Will Rhona ever get the chance to propose?”
