The price for alumina in China dropped for a second consecutive week in the period to Thursday March 3, on reduced market headwinds and new ramp-ups, while multiple market sources told Fastmarkets that shipments had been flowing to regions where arbitrage is generated with China, lending support to the domestic downtrend.
