90 Day Fiancé: Ben's Cryptic FB Profile With Mystery Woman Baffles Fans
90 Day Fiancé star Ben Rathbun’s Facebook profile that he allegedly shared with a mystery woman who’s not Mahogany Roca has been unearthed by a Reddit fan. 52-year-old Ben didn't get into fitness modeling until later in his life but still managed to woo 22-year-old Mahogany with his shirtless photos. Upon speaking with Mahogany over DM, Ben continued romancing her for three months until he decided to meet her in person on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days. Before Ben could fly to Peru, his kids and ex-wife of 24 years, Lisa, tried to remind him that he’d been in a similar situation before. Right after Ben's divorce, he was engaged to a woman 18 years younger than him. But she is not the same young woman in his pre-wedding photoshoot-style pictures on the Facebook account.
Ben grew up in a religious cult and became a pastor, after which he married his church’s children’s ministry partner. With four children and many problems, Ben and his ex-wife left the church seven years ago and even tried counseling but eventually divorced. Ben claimed that his religious background left him inexperienced to navigate the dating world. When he finally found Mahogany online and told his family about his (and God’s) plan to marry her, he mentioned that he didn’t want to have a reputation of being a man who dates a younger woman. “But this is not the first time,” Ben’s ex-wife, Lisa, taunted him, which is when he spilled the beans on his then much younger ex he was engaged to but broke up with because she didn’t want Ben to spend time with his kids.
Meanwhile, Reddit user iloveyoumwah stumbled upon a Facebook page called, “Ben N Amy Rathbun – Phung.” The page has a profile photo of Ben and the woman seemingly called “Amy Phung,” which was posted on August 28, 2019, and has both of them dressed in white. The cover photo again features Ben and "Amy" taken at what looks like Love Lock Bridge Da Nang in Vietnam. This photo was also uploaded on August 28, 2019. While any other photos, along with the friends’ section of the Facebook account, are hidden, it states, “From Commerce Township, Michigan,” in the intro. According to 90 Day Fiancé, Ben resides in Fraser, Michigan.
The woman “Amy Phung” is not the ex that Ben was engaged to seven years ago. And since Ben may have met Mahogany in 2021, he and “Amy Phung” were possibly in a relationship and/or married before Mahogany entered the picture. “Wow, so it didn’t work out even WITH a shared Facebook page?! That’s usually such a good sign of mutual trust and respect,” posted Reddit user alarmagent in the thread’s comments. “I feel like this man falls in love so quickly. Whatever, Gods plan...I guess,” joked cleosoul. At the same time, another fan PlayOldWhiteLadyCard found “Amy Phung” on Facebook. She lives in Michigan just like Ben and has seemingly entered a new relationship on July 20, 2021.
It cannot be deduced if Ben was really married to Amy and has kept it well hidden from 90 Day Fiancé viewers by not disclosing the details on the show. Ben and Mahogany's storyline with its many loopholes and catfish angle has already confused fans enough. And with Amy being introduced into the messy plot, fans, who have always seen Ben as a creepy person, are creeped out all the more. As the 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days season 5 finale approaches, fans are expecting a lot of answers about Ben and Mahogany, who are still together. But now fans also want the Tell-All to feature Ben’s exes so everything about his past becomes crystal clear.
