<p>Great Britain’s ace Georgina Corrick is having a monster season in the NCAA Division I Softball, playing for the University of South Florida. The right-hander has swept the American Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week honours this season, earning all four awards that have been given.</p>

<p>This past Sunday, Corrick tossed the first perfect game of her career, and the fourth time in USF program history, by sitting down 15 consecutive batters without allowing a baserunner in a 9-0, five-inning win over Florida A&M. She struck out eight batters and threw just 56 pitches</p>

<p>During the weekend, she also passed the 1,000 career strikeouts threshold, becoming the second pitcher in program history to reach a career four-digit strikeout total. She now sits at 1,011, just 92 behind Sara Nevins for the most in program history.</p>

<p>"It was definitely a really high intensity moment," Corrick told the USF website. "Going in, I wasn't really worried about the number or it being 1,000. We were in a tight situation with a runner on third and I just wanted to make sure I gave our team the best chance that I could to win."</p>

<p>A then 20-year old Corrick represented Great Britain during the WBSC Women’s Softball World Cup 2018, helping the British squad finish in 11th place. She appeared in eight games, posting a 2-2 record with a 4.94 ERA in 34 innings pitched.</p>

<p>One year later, she pitched Great Britain to second place in the <a href="https://olympicsoftballqualifier.wbsc.org/en/2019/e-2019-europe-africa-softball-olympic-qualifier"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>WBSC Softball Europe Afirca Olympic Qualifier</strong></span></a>, coming one-game short of advancing to Tokyo 2020. She appeared in four of the five games, and tallied two wins and a loss, including a pair of complete-game wins against Netherlands and Czech Republic, to finish with a 2.00 ERA.</p>
