[Softball] Frey Tosses Shutout; Saint Xavier Spilts in Florida

Kissimmee, Fla. – Sophomore pitcher Alyssa Frey (Sheboygan, Wis./Trinity International/Sheboygan South) threw her first shutout of the season, allowing just two hits, three walks and two strikeouts to give the Saint Xavier University softball team (11-3, 0-0 CCAC) a 9-0 five-inning victory over Doane University (Neb.) Friday afternoon in The Spring Games at the Fortune Road Athletic Complex in Kissimmee, Fla. in game two of their split doubleheader. The Cougars lost their first game of the day, 2-1, to Dordt University (Iowa) in the morning. Sophomore infielder Alexus Reese (Schererville, Ind./Lake Central) drove in the only run for SXU with an RBI single.
