RHOBH: Denise Richards Slammed For Being Difficult On Film Set
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills former star Denise Richards was working on a film set in India and she was slammed by her dress designers for being difficult. Denise was famous for many huge movies before starring in RHOBH, such as Wild Things and James Bond: The World Is Not Enough. Her stint on RHOBH was a short one, with her on for only two seasons. However, Denise gave fans much to talk about after former RHOBH star Brandi Glanville alleged that she and Denise had an affair. Denise, who is married to Aaron Phypers, adamantly denied those allegations.
Following the scandal, Denise made the decision not to return for RHOBH season 11. RHOBH star Lisa Rinna, who was a long-time friend of Denise's, accused her of lying throughout season 10. Denise claimed that she hardly knew Brandi, although Brandi had text messages to prove otherwise. Denise also had a blow-out fight with RHOBH cast member Kyle Richards when she was accused of lying about working before coming to an event. Denise got fed up and broke the fourth wall in order to stop filming by saying, “Bravo, Bravo, Bravo.”
Denise seems to have put her Real Housewives days behind her, but according to sources, she is still a diva. Celebrity designers Pol’ Atteu and Patrik Simpson were on David Yontef’s podcast Behind the Velvet Rope and dished on their experiences working with Denise on the set of her new movie Comeback-ish. Pol’ had made a wedding dress for Denise for the movie and slammed her for being “too much,” and treating them worse than “the hired help.” Patrik added that Denise was “very derogatory to the Indian people…that hired her for the movie.” The designers also claimed that Denise, who was accused of being aggressive, threw a tantrum about her wardrobe and screamed at Pol’ and Patrik to “Get the f*** out,” even though they weren’t part of the wardrobe crew and were only there as the designer of her wedding gown.
According to Patrik, Denise was also rude to the producer of Comeback-ish, Pooja Batra, who is a “huge Indian actress.” When Pooja knocked on Denise’s trailer door to get her on set, Pol’ claimed Denise said, “Why are these Indian people always coming to knock on the door? They’re so rude. Don’t they understand?” Pol’ went on to say that Pooja was the reason Denise even had this movie role and that Pooja was the “Nicole Kidman of all of Asia.” Pol’ who was on Denise’s short-lived reality show It’s Complicated, said she was rude to him then as well.
Interestingly enough, Pol’ and Patrik claim that despite all the negative press Denise's RHOBH nemesis Brandi gets, she’s actually really sweet and honest. Pol’ told David that he believes Brandi was telling the truth about her affair with Denise and he wonders why she “just doesn’t freaking own it.” He shared that Brandi offered to show the text messages between her and Denise but he told her he believed her and didn’t need to see them. RHOBH viewers were disappointed when Denise refused to come back for a third season and defend her side of the story. However, Denise told fans that she wanted to spend more time with her family and she’s done with the “mean girls” co-stars of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
