Powerful quake strikes off western Indonesia, no casualty reported

A 6.9-magnitude earthquake jolted Indonesia's western province of North Sumatra early Monday, but no immediate report of damage or casualty was issued, an agency and officials said, according to Xinhua.

The quake triggered no tsunami, the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency said
