Spread Out is a Gesture in Elden Ring that makes the Tarnished lie down on their back, with arms open and legs spread apart. It is a funny-looking pose that can be used for whimsical roleplay or screenshots. Obtaining this Gesture is relatively easy, but most Tarnished will probably miss it as it requires a certain number of steps before unlocking in Elden Ring.
First, the protagonist must reach Liurnia of the Lakes, the region above Limgrave, past Stormveil Castle. To get to this section, the Tarnished must either defeat Godrick the Grafted or take the hidden cliffside path near the broken bridge north of Stormhill. If the player passes through Stormveil, they will arrive at Liurnia's Lake-Facing Cliffs Site of Grace. Those who take the covert, outer-wall trail will eventually end up at Liurnia Highway South's Site of Grace. It matters not which spot Tarnished get to, as from both points, they must head northwest to the Laskyar Ruins in the lakes.
After reaching the ruins, continue northwest until arriving at the Birdseye Telescope, enter the stone gazebo sitting to its right. Inside, Tarnished will encounter an Elden Ring NPC by the name of Rya. She will request the player retrieve her necklace, which was stolen from a thug. Naturally, she cannot inform the protagonist of the thief's whereabouts, but fortunately, the crook can be found reasonably close by.

From Rya's location, travel northwest until reaching a small hut known as the Boilprawn Shack. Here, Tarnished will find a Site of Grace and a prickly NPC called Blackguard. Going by the name Big Boggart, Blackguard is the thug Rya spoke of, unremorsefully revealing that he stole the necklace. Keep in mind that if the protagonist fails to talk with Rya first, Blackguard will only have the dialogue of telling Tarnished to leave him alone.
Big Boggart will offer to return Rya's necklace if the player pays him 1,000 Runes in Elden Ring. Of course, Tarnished can just kill him for it, but this will prematurely end his questline. Instead, spend the Runes and give the necklace back to Rya to receive the Volcano Manor invitation. If players speak with Blackguard again, he will offer items for sale to the player, including Boiled Prawn and Boiled Crab. Once Tarnished purchases some of his goods, they will receive the Spread Out Gesture in Elden Ring. Make sure to buy his stock before traveling to another place, as he will leave the Boilprawn Shack, causing the Gesture to become unavailable.
Elden Ring is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
