Dems push plan to tax oil companies' profits, send checks to Americans during Russia-Ukraine price spike

Rep. Ro Khanna and Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse are pushing a plan that would tax energy companies for half of the difference in the current price for each barrel they sell and the average price from 2015 through 2019.
