Jack Roberts had to wait seven hour in A&E and have his skin glued after his Mrs Hinch water bottle exploded[/caption] He had a chunk torn out of his hand[/caption]The 23-year-old from Amesbury had been taking a 5-minute break from his busy job as a care home assistant when he claims the glass ripped through his skin on Wednesday.
He told The Sun: “I filled the bottle up with cold water and fresh lemon slices.
“I put it on the shelf in the nurse’s station and I finally got to sit down for five minutes for a breather because I had been running around all night.
“Then I picked back up my bottle. I went to open it and it just blew up. Absolutely exploded.
“I managed to block my face with my hand. It took a massive gash out of my hand.

“I was in so much shock. I thought ‘what’s just happened’ and then I looked at my hand and I almost fainted.”
Jack rushed to a nearby hospital where he was forced to get the remaining skin on his hand glued back together.
He explained: “I was in A&E for seven hours and was bleeding for all those seven hours.
“I was bleeding from about 1am until about 7.30am the next morning. I just lost so much blood it was scary.”
Now he has been forced to take time off work – and has been losing out on £125 a shift.
BOTTLE ‘BLEW UP’
Jack, who is a huge fan of cleaning guru Mrs Hinch, aka Sophie Hinchliffe, has now been turned off using her products.
He said: “I absolutely love Mrs Hinch. I wanted to get all of her home range – frying pans, saucepans, utensils.
“But now this has turned me off. If a water bottle can do this much damage what’s a frying pan going to do to me?
“A lot of young people, even younger than me, love Mrs Hinch.
“She has massive influence and has so many fans who will buy all her stuff – and I don’t want anyone else to get hurt.
“I don’t want someone else to cut their hand open.
“It could have blown up when I was in the corridor rather than in the nurse’s station.
“It could have ended up hurting other people – my patients.”
‘SPEWING OUT BLOOD’
Jack claims when he approached Tesco about what happened to him, they asked him to bring the bloody bottle into a store to get a refund.
He said: “I spoke to Tesco and spoke to their customer service team.
“They just don’t want to help me. They said they can’t do anything without the bottle.
“I explained to her that my hand was spewing out blood. I didn’t have time to think about the bottle.
“My workplace disposed of it because of health and safety issues.”
A Tesco spokesperson told The Sun: “We’re really sorry to hear about this. The bottle is made from Borosilicate glass, which is stronger than standard glass.
