Ahead of next year's 25th Anniversary of his debut album, Bobby Digital in Stereo, from Wu-Tang Clan founding member RZA, the artist is teaming up with Z2 Comics for a new graphic novel called RZA Presents: Bobby Digital and The Pit of Snakes. We have a first look at the upcoming story, which sees Bobby Digital seeking the answer of what's real and what's not, as he goes on a quest to figure out the nature of reality and his place in it.
RZA is one of the founding members of the legendary hip-hop group, the Wu-Tang Clan, who has also flexed his creative muscles across different mediums. RZA is also a filmmaker, directing The Man with the Iron Fists, while providing the scores to Kill Bill: Volume 1 and Kill Bill: Volume 2. RZA has also acted in numerous films and television projects including appearing in G.I Joe Retaliation and Mr. Right. RZA has also penned two books, The Wu-Tang Manual and The Tao of Wu. Now, the talented artist is jumping into the world of graphic novels and comics with his upcoming RZA Presents: Bobby Digital and The Pit of Snakes.
We've got a new look at the upcoming RZA Presents: Bobby Digital and The Pit of Snakes from Z2 Comics. The graphic novel is written by Rza and Ryan O'Sullivan, with art from Vasilis Lolos, and letters by AndWorld Design. The comic, which arrives in comic book stores and online retailers in May, is a "Wuxia-flavored" blockbuster graphic novel that will see Bobby Digital on a quest for the truth. Z2 Comics is releasing a series of bundles for RZA Presents: Bobby Digital and The Pit of Snakes. Among their offerings include a limited edition hardcover graphic novel, a deluxe oversized edition with three limited art prints, and a hand-signed deluxe edition that comes with an exclusive vinyl.
