In honor of Pi Day, Coursera is offering some of its Specializations for $3.14 for the first month.

Coursera Specializations are a series of online courses on a single topic, from using machine learning for trading to becoming an ethical journalist. While you can audit them for free, the paid version (normally between $39-$49/month) comes with graded homework and a certificate of completion you can add to your LinkedIn profile.

The Pi Day sale is available until March 28, 2022, can only be used on one Specialization, and isn't valid in India. At checkout, the cost will automatically adjust to $3.14 for the first month, then renew to the normal cost per month ($39-$49) until you unsubscribe.

Specializations can take multiple months to complete depending on your learning pace, so that's also worth considering when signing up. If the same Specialization is covered by Coursera Plus (a nearly all-access membership that comes in monthly and annual options), it may make sense to crunch the numbers to see which option saves you more — especially since Coursera Plus also lets you take an unlimited number of Specializations.
