Emmerdale fans all asking the same question after Dawn Taylor’s drug arrest

EMMERDALE fans are all asking the same question after Dawn Taylor organised a police ambush of a major drug dealer.

The former drug addict – who is played by actress Olivia Bentley in the ITV soap – was being forced to deal drugs by ex Alex.

He demanded that she deliver the drugs for him to pay off a gangster in exchange for him signing away his parental rights to son Lucas.

In tonight’s episode Dawn tried to break into stepmother Kim’s safe to steal money to pay Alex off.

She was caught – but Kim handed over the money anyway to help her pay the dealers off.

However Alex revealed he owed much more than she gave him – and so Dawn was forced into meeting the gangster behind it all.

But when he handed the drugs over to her, all three were shocked as the police arrived and arrested them.

But all was not as it seemed. 

Later Dawn was released without charge and it emerged she had set the entire thing up – apparently.

“Look I just couldn’t tell you at the time,” Dawn said with a smile on her face to her dad and Billy.

“That I recorded him – the whole thing. It obviously wasn’t a coincidence that the police turned up and arrested him. 

“Look, Alex gave me a chance to make a call and I made it.”

Harriet then revealed: “I’m just glad I could help.”

Turning to her dad Dawn said: “Dad I’m sorry. I know I should’ve called the school but I knew they’d call you and Lucas would be alright. 

“I had a decision to make. Either I did what Alex said and give you a chance for the adoption, or I do the right thing and send him to prison. 

“As soon as I knew he was back in that world I knew he couldn’t be in ours. And Billy I’m sorry I know this messes up the adoption.”

But fans were all left confused by Dawn’s plan and how it came together and said it didn’t make sense.

One wrote: “What you doing Dawn?”

A second said: “Why doesn’t Dawn just tell Alex that Billy won’t adopt Lucas. Surely even she isn’t *that* stupid.”

Another added: “Dawn is so stooopid…”
