Starstruck Season 2 Trailer: Jessie & Tom Hit New Relationship Bumps
HBO releases a new Starstruck season 2 trailer staring comedian and creator Rose Matafeo. The BBC series distributed by HBO Max in the US follows Jessie (Matafeo), a woman in her 20s from New Zealand who works as a part-time nanny and part-time cinema worker in London. Her life is changed after she has a one-night stand with a famous movie star, Tom Kapoor (Nikesh Patel), on New Year's Eve. The series follows their up and down romance as well as Jessie's chaotic life as a young woman in London alongside her best friend Kate (Emma Sidi).
Now, HBO reveals the Starstruck season 2 trailer, and it seems the series will pick up with the aftermath of Jessie deciding not to move back home to New Zealand, instead staying in London to be with Tom. Matafeo and Patel will both be returning to the series, as well as Sidi and Minnie Driver, who plays Tom's agent, Cath. Starstruck season 2 is set to premiere on March 24 on HBO Max. It seems that there will be trouble in paradise for Jessie and Tom due to their different worlds and backgrounds, and potentially even some infidelity, which should make for a season full of drama. The season 2 trailer also is chock full of the charming asides, wit, and boisterousness from Jessie, which make her character so endearing and fun to watch. Viewers will learn how she navigates her love life, friendships, and professional dreams when Starstruck season 2 premieres.
