RHOSLC: Whitney’s Husband Fired From Job After Racy Bedroom Scene Airs
The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star Whitney Rose's husband Justin shared an emotional post on Facebook this week after he was fired from his job of seven years. Justin, who has appeared frequently on the first two seasons of the series, met Whitney several years ago when they worked together at the same company. Though they were both married at the time, they began an affair which ended in them leaving their spouses and getting married to each other. Whitney was thrown out of the Mormon Church as a result of the indiscretion.
Justin's dismissal comes just after the couple spent a large chunk of their money on the re-branding of Whitney's company, Wild Rose Beauty. In addition to the new name and new look, Whitney also had to buy her former partner out of the business, and the whole deal evidently cost a pretty penny. On the show, Whitney expressed worry about having spent so much of their nest egg, but Justin clarified that they were still in good shape financially.
Radaronline reported on Justin's Facebook post after he was fired from his position at LifeVantage where he served as Chief Sales Officer. The wellness biz is a multi-level marketing company that sells nutritional supplements. His sacking comes just on the heels of an RHOSLC episode where the twosome, known for their fiery love life, shared an intimate scene that may have played a part in the company's decision to let him go. The segment featured the Roses engaging in some spicy foreplay in the bedroom.
Justin admitted to having "tears in his eyes" as he wrote the post, which began optimistically with, "They say as one door closes another door opens. But does the first door really need to close completely? Don't get me wrong I'm super excited to see what's behind the next door and just from the first glimpse it does continue to get better." He also lamented that, "...I will truly miss so much about these past 7 years they have been some of the best years of my life." Whitney's own Instagram post in response to the matter consisted of a mirror selfie with Justin in their house and a caption that read, "Never been so optimistic about our future."
Justin's ousting seems sudden and suspiciously timed after a seven-year tenure with the company. This led to speculation that the bedroom scene, which many found cringe-worthy, may have been the impetus - especially in a relatively conservative state like Utah. Some fans wondered if the upper-level exec should have passed on allowing Bravo cameras into the bedroom. Here's hoping that Whitney's skincare line and her paycheck for The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City can cover their expenses until Justin figures out his next move.
