Boy, 12, accused of burgling some of London’s top hotels
A BOY of 12 has appeared in court charged with burgling some of London’s top hotels.
The lad, who cannot be named for legal reasons, is accused of carrying out raids on Claridge’s in Mayfair, the Four Seasons in Park Lane, the Corinthia in Whitehall and The Millennium, Knightsbridge.
He also faces allegations of burgling BBC Television Centre, as well as two businesses in a series of break-ins reminiscent of crime caper Ocean’s Eleven.
He appeared alongside his 13-year-old brother, who is accused of involvement in three of the burglaries.
Owing to the pair’s ages, their mum was allowed to be with them in the dock.
Jonathan Bryan, prosecuting, told the court the boys were pleading not guilty to all charges.

Shane McCarthy, 19, also appeared before JPs in Westminster to face burglary charges, which he denied.
He is due at Isleworth crown court on April 14.
Magistrate Alan Elias said the boys, from West London, would go to youth court due to their “age and lack of convictions”.
They are due at Highbury Corner youth court on March 28.

Mr Elias told them: “You need to stay out of trouble, really stay out of trouble until then. Do you understand?”
Both boys nodded.
