I think there is a pitch problem but I don’t think it’s the condition of it that’s the biggest problem. I think the size of it is a much bigger problem.
It is no coincidence that when we play away on bigger/ wider pitches, we create a lot more chances and seem to play much better football.
Unfortunately there ain’t much we can do about the length of it but didn’t we knock a few yards off the width a couple of seasons back?
The first thing I would do next season is pinch every inch we can to make it bigger. When the onus is on us at home to create and attack we struggle. Teams seem to close us down very easy and now we are getting a bit more pace in the team, a bigger pitch will definitely help.
