90 Day Fiancé: Why Johnny Receives the Most Sympathy from Fans
On the latest episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, Ella Johnson admitted to cheating on Johnny and viewers are becoming increasingly sympathetic of his journey on the popular 90 Day Fiancé spin-off. The couples in season 5 don’t have the best outlook. Jasmine Pineda and Gino Palazzolo are a whirlwind full of raging emotions. Memphis Smith and Moknii Hamza are battling their honesty and communication issues. Caleb Greenwood and Alina Kozhevnikova are long gone. Kimberly Menzies is ready to leave Usman “Sojaboy” Umar in Tanzania by himself. Then there’s Ella and Johnny.
While Ella hasn’t been the most favorable co-star, viewers are beginning to root for Johnny. Ella and Johnny have been dating for almost two years. Despite the lengthy time and the mutual connection, they still haven’t met. Due to concerns about the Covid-19 pandemic and travel restrictions, the 90DF's Ella and Johnny had to postpone their meeting. However, Ella was losing her patience. As their relationship continues to spiral out of control, viewers are finding themselves becoming more sympathetic to Johnny and his ways.
Ella thought she could entice him by purchasing a ticket to Dubai so they could quarantine together. It didn’t work. Johnny still wanted to wait until the new year. An angry Ella provided him with an ultimatum: they meet in Dubai or she wants an open relationship. Johnny took a couple of days to mull this over, only for her to admit that during that time, she hooked up with a friend. Instead of breaking up, he forgives her and asks for her ring size. In fact, on Instagram 90DF's Johnny accepted the full blame for her actions.
Johnny has a 5-year-old son, Stony. According to Johnny, the mother didn’t want to be involved, so he has full custody. Due to his work schedule, his son lives with his grandparents, which is common in China. Despite the lengthy time apart, it’s apparent they still have a close relationship. When he’s not working, he spends time with his son and Ella admits it’s a part of what attracts her to him.
Johnny wasn’t comfortable traveling when coronavirus was still prevalent. That would mean he would have to spend five weeks in quarantine. Between the risk of getting sick and missing out on months of work, he didn’t believe it was a good idea. Especially because he had his family to help support. The pros didn’t outweigh the cons.
Viewers are rooting for 90DF's Johnny as it’s beginning to be clear to viewers that he has a very gentle nature within himself. Some wonder if Ella even deserves such a person. However, Johnny appears invested and there are rumors the two are still together. In the end, viewers are impatiently waiting to see if that’s true on the future episodes of 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days.
