I was Ghislaine Maxwell’s dog walker and she was paranoid about being murdered – here’s her husband’s warning to me
GHISLAINE Maxwell was paranoid she would be killed, her former dog walker has revealed.
Rasmus Alpsjö, now 31, lived at Maxwell’s New York townhouse while working for her for three months in 2015.

Rasmus says that Maxwell, 60, once went crazy when he allowed a delivery man into the foyer of her townhouse on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
He said: “She had some friends over and the door bell rang. She asked if I could take it.
“There was a delivery guy and he asked if he was at the right address.
“I thought it was and I invited him in. Ghislaine came and asked ‘What is this?’
“She asked for his ID and took a copy of it.
“She sent him away and then actually screamed at me ‘It could have been anyone, somebody could have been out to kill me.’
“It made me feel so bad. I didn’t think it was such a big deal, but she made a huge deal out of it.
“She said, ‘I might have to send you home. I have to think about it.’
“In the morning she told me ‘That was really stupid but I thought about it and you can stay. But you have to learn that you cannot open to anyone.’
“When I think about it, that is kind of a crazy reaction. It’s just insane.”
Rasmus was one of several young Swedish men who were drafted in to walk Maxwell’s Vizsla dog Captain Nemo.
He says he was told of the job by an acquaintance while out partying in Sweden and was later offered the position after a 10-minute Skype call with Maxwell’s assistant.

Now living in Uppsala, Sweden, he recalled how Maxwell’s then-boyfriend and later secret husband Scott Borgerson, 46, warned him about even talking about her to others.
Rasmus said: “Her and her boyfriend at the time, Scott, took me to Central Park with the dog one time.
“Scott sat me down with Ghislaine and said ‘She’s a very powerful woman. You can never say who she is. You can’t say that’s work for her and you can never bring any people to the house.
“At the time I thought obviously she’s someone important.
“They came off as such a power couple, so I would just listen to them.
“Now I know the full story, it kind of makes sense. I think Ghislaine liked to have power over people. That made her feel good or something.”
It was not the only time that Borgerson made sure that Rasmus knew who was boss.
He explained: “Scott visited sometimes but not that often.
“I would walk the dog and the dog wasn’t very well trained because there were so many Swedish guys who had handled him.
“So one time we walked past a valet service just outside of her house and the dog jumped up and almost bit one of the guys.
“Scott got to hear about it and then he took it on to himself to show me how an alpha male treats a dog.
“He took me out on a walk with the dog and showed me this is how you do it as a man to really control the dog.
“One of the first times I met him he gave me a business card and it had a number which he had written on it with a ballpoint pen.
“He said, ‘If you ever get into any trouble, just call this number.’
“She often went to him to visit, I think he was in Boston, but the times I met him he came across as a scary, militant guy.
“He was no fun to be around. I was on my toes all the time.”
Rasmus, who is preparing to study to become a physical therapist, lived in a basement apartment under the stairs of the townhouse.
Despite some rocky moments, now-convicted underage sex trafficker Maxwell asked him to do a “burn and turn” and go back to work for her again but it didn’t work out.
He says that he never got to the bottom of why the powerful rich lady that he was working for liked to employ Swedish men.
He explained: “I did a bunch of different, small things that obviously any person could do, but for some reason she wanted young Swedish men to do those things.
“I asked her what’s the thing with Sweden? I asked if she had been there or whether she liked “Sweden. She said no, she had never been there.
“I thought, this is just how very rich people act. They have the money, the power, maybe it’s a status thing to have Swedish men there.
“I thought Ghislaine was just a rich woman but then in 2019 I saw her on the news and I understood who she was.”
