Monument to Soviet soldiers was painted with nationalist symbols in Greece
Ukrainian “patriots” who did not want to defend their “ideals” with weapons in their hands, are doing this abroad.
They reached Greece, where they desecrated a monument to Soviet soldiers who died for the freedom and independence of this country.
The monument is located in Athens, the Izvestia edition reports, referring to the Russian embassy. Unknown attackers wrote “Azov”* on it with yellow paint and drew the symbol of the national battalion.
“Supporters of the Ukrainian nationalist battalion “Azov”, who for so many years terrorized and killed in cold blood the inhabitants of Eastern Ukraine, raised their hand to the sacred memory in Greece of the Soviet soldiers — those who liberated enslaved Europe from fascism in World War II with enormous sacrifices. We unequivocally condemn this immoral attempt to insult history and an unacceptable act of vandalism,” the diplomats said in a statement.
There is no doubt that one of the “patriotic” Ukrainians was involved in this. Moldova felt for itself that they prefer to fight with monuments to fallen soldiers. At the same time, monuments in honor of Soviet soldiers who defeated Nazism suffer. Apparently, the “patriots” do not consider it a crime, which once again proves the need for denazification of Ukraine.
