Russian aviation destroyed 62 military facilities in Ukraine overnight – Russian Defense Ministry
The official representative of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Igor Konashenkov, spoke about the course of the special operation to denazify and demilitarize Ukraine.
“During the night, operational-tactical and army aviation hit 62 military facilities of Ukraine. Among them: three command posts, one installation of multiple launch rocket systems, two depots of rocket and artillery weapons and one fuel depot, as well as 52 places where military equipment is accumulated”, said the representative of the defense department.
In addition, the air defense of the Russian Federation shot down one Ukrainian Mi-8 helicopter, six unmanned aerial vehicles, including one Bayraktar TB-2, in the air. In addition, air defense forces shot down a Ukrainian tactical missile “Tochka-U” near the town of Izyum, Kharkiv region.
“Caliber missiles hit the shops of the Nezhinsky repair plant, where they repaired Ukrainian equipment and a large fuel and lubricants storage base in the Nikolaev region. Artillery fire destroyed six Ukrainian mobile electronic warfare systems Bukovel,” Konashenkov said.
The Russian military also announced a new use of the Kinzhal hypersonic systems against military facilities in Ukraine. From the airspace over the Crimea, a “Daggers” attack was carried out on the fuel and lubricants base, from which fuel was supplied for Ukrainian armored vehicles.
“High-precision air-launched missiles struck at the training center for special operations forces of the Ukrainian armed forces, where foreign mercenaries who arrived in Ukraine were based, near the settlement of Ovruch, Zhytomyr region. More than 100 servicemen of the special operations forces and foreign mercenaries have been destroyed,” Konashenkov concluded.
