90 Day Fiancé: Stars Who Should Apply For The Bachelor Franchise
With the growing popularity of 90 Day Fiancé, there are several of the franchise’s stars would be excellent candidates to join The Bachelor franchise—provided ABC is bold enough to pull such an unprecedented move. Though many 90 Day Fiancé couples find love in their own franchise, there are many who are single, and a lot of them could seriously enrich Bachelor Nation.
ABC recently took a bold new step to reinvigorate The Bachelor franchise by casting two women, Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia, to be dual leads on the next season of The Bachelorette. The surprising decision could be a sign that the network is open to fresh ideas, and there’s nothing fresher than a crossover with another wildly popular franchise.
Excitement for The Bachelor franchise has been waning in recent years. Many of the recent leads haven’t been popular with viewers, and fans have been complaining that the storylines are getting stale. But 90 Day Fiance’s popularity has taken off like a rocket and the core series has spawned more than a dozen spin-offs. A crossover with these two franchise could be reality TV gold for both ABC and TLC, but the real winners would be the viewing public.
The Bachelor franchise has been making strides recently with diversity, but one thing that’s lacking is body diversity. Many fans have spoken out about how the contestants on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette all look extremely similar, and they aren’t representative of what most people’s bodies actually look like. Tania is a gorgeous full-figured woman with confidence, and she could be the perfect one to break the Bachelor contestant mold. She’s also recently single and deserves to find someone who will treat her well. Though Tania is rumored to be filming 90 Day: The Single Life season 3, she would shine just as brightly on The Bachelor.
Though Yamir isn’t your typical Bachelorette contestant type, he’s had an extremely interesting life and would be a compelling cast member to viewers, and likely the lead too. Yamir used to be a legit star in Nicaragua as the member of the boyband Myla Vox, but he left that life behind him to pursue love. He clearly has a romantic side and knows what it’s like to make tough decisions for the one you love. Yamir would be an intriguing, genuine, and caring addition to the cast, who could bring even more diversity to the traditionally homogeneous franchise.
Anfisa is a very controversial 90 Day Fiancé franchise cast member but there’s no denying she’d be amazing on The Bachelor. She already fits the dating show’s extremely narrow standards of beauty and Anfisa would bring the drama for sure. Anfisa switches between vaguely-irritated and enraged on a regular basis, and she does so at great speed and for no reason. Though Anfisa may turn on her limited charm for The Bachelor, her fellow contestants would be terrified and definitely never touch Anfisa’s red bag with her makeup.
ABC has long been teasing a senior version of The Bachelor, and if there were to be a senior Bachelorette season, David would make for great TV. David has been successful in life, is well groomed, and is eager to find love, which makes him good on paper for any Bachelorette. However, his awkward mannerisms and how out of touch with reality he is could be TV gold. David would mutter, “Mmmmm” after being handed every rose, and he would surely be the odd one out in the cast who viewers can’t wait to see more of on Senior Bachelor in Paradise.
Evelyn recently ended her toxic marriage and because she’s young, beautiful, and talented, she’d be shoe in for The Bachelor. After what she went through in her marriage, Evelyn deserves to find a healthy relationship with someone who isn’t as sketchy and problematic as her ex-husband. If Evelyn is able to open up her heart on national TV, she could go on an incredible journey that could end in an engagement to someone wonderful. And it wouldn’t hurt as an opportunity to give her music career a boost.
Caleb proved himself to be exceptionally open and honest on 90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days, and being so conscious about his feelings would make him a great addition to The Bachelorette cast. He doesn’t seem to be the jealous type, which is important when your “girlfriend” is dating 30 other guys. Caleb would bring a different perspective to the show and his new-age interests would be a fun gimmick that could lead to interesting chyrons like “chakras aligned” or “good vibes purveyor.” It’s unclear if Caleb wants a committed relationship right now, but if he does, why not start with The Bachelorette?
Though Natalie is desperate to find love, she probably wouldn’t get a final rose on The Bachelor. However, she could still be an entertaining and memorable cast member, and that can lead to other opportunities. Natalie would follow in the footsteps of iconic Bachelor villains like Shanae Ankney and “Queen” Victoria Larson, which could lead to a spot on Bachelor in Paradise and a more robust social media following as well. Natalie most likely wouldn’t find love on the show, but she could find a LOT more fame.
Fernanda is currently in a relationship, but if that were to change, she’s tailor made for The Bachelor. For one, she looks just like a typical Bachelor contestant, and as a model she knows how to always look her best. Though she’s young, Fernanda is a confident woman who knows what she wants in a relationship and in life. Fernanda would be the “safest” of the 90 Day Fiancé franchise stars to cast because she has the potential to actually go far on the show. If ABC and TLC were to make this crossover happen, Fernanda is their best bet for someone who would make a positive splash on the show.
A 90 Day Fiancé-Bachelor crossover is a major long shot, but it’s not due to a lack of options for cast members. There are many stars of the popular TLC show who would fit well into Bachelor Nation, and there’s no doubt that the two franchises combined could be a massive hit with viewers.
