[Baseball] Saint Xavier Sweeps CCSJ on Rain-Soaked Saturday

Crestwood, Ill. – The Saint Xavier University baseball team (20-3, 4-0 CCAC) swept their doubleheader with Calumet College of St. Joseph (Ind.) and the three-game series after winning game one 10-4 and taking the nightcap by a 10-3 score in Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) action at Ozinga Field in Crestwood, Ill. as it rained on and off throughout both contests. Junior infielder Patrick Doran (Evergreen Park, Ill./NC Central/South Suburban/Evergreen Park) led the Cougars in game one with a triple and four RBI's and freshman pitcher Logan McCleery (Patterson, Calif./Patterson) struck out a career-high 11 batters in 6.0 in game two. SXU runs its winning streak to four game and has scored 10 or more runs in game nine times this season and is 16-1 when scoring six or more runs.
