Senior Russian officers who will no longer be attacking Ukraine

According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, during the last 24-25 days of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, they have already eliminated numerous Russian senior officers, including 6 generals. As of early March 19 they estimated the number of Russian militaries killed so far at around 14,500, with close to 500 tanks destroyed, over 100 aircraft and military helicopters, and over 200 artillery systems.

Russian forces are continuing to lay siege to cities and towns in the east and south of Ukraine (e.g. Kharkiv and Mariupol), but are digging in around Kyiv.  On Sunday, 20 March, the Ukrainian military authorities warned that there were signs of the preparation of an attack from Belarus towards Volhynia, in north-west Ukraine.
