Cetilar To Campaign New Ferrari 296 GT3 In Full 2023 IMSA Season



Cetilar Racing will return to the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship in 2023 with the new Ferrari 296 GT3, stepping up from their 2022 Endurance Cup campaign to a full IMSA season.



The proudly Italian team are set to receive the first customer delivery for the 296 GT3 and will debut the new car, alongside a likely parallel factory-blessed GTD PRO presence, in the GTD class for the 2023 Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona, the IMSA season opener set to be the customer debut for the next generation of Ferrari’s GT3 line.



Team Owner Roberto Lacorte told DSC after taking the GTD class win at the Sebring 12 Hours:

“We have seen the car, another amazing Ferrari, and we have a date for the delivery of our car.



“We are enjoying IMSA, I’m racing in the USA while we build the brand for my company in North America, and we will continue to do that next season before returning to the FIA WEC in two years time.”



Before that time though there looks set to be a third run at the Rolex 24 Hours, Lacorte Snr. Is targeting a 2024 effort with the team and his son Nicola, now racing in Italian F4.
