Theo James announced he would not be returning to the show following its original cancellation.

“I said the only way [James leaving] is going to work is if we basically take Sidney out of the equation right at the top of Season two,” said showrunner Justin Young, per Decider.

“Otherwise, there’s no way the audience is going to invest in any other love interest.”

New characters introduced in season two include Ben Lloyd-Hughes as Alexander Colbourne, Tom Weston-Jones as Colonel Francis Lennox, and Frank Blake as Captain Declan Fraser.

Who is Theo James?

Born on December 16, 1984, Theo James is an actor mostly known for his role as Tobias “Four” Eaton in the Divergent series film franchise.

James met his future wife, Ruth Kearney, while the two of them were studying at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School.

Aside from his acting career, James performed as the lead vocalist and guitarist in former London-based band, Shere Khan.
