The Bachelor: Colton Underwood Shares That He Hopes To Have Children
The lead of The Bachelor season 23, Colton Underwood, revealed that he hopes to start a family with his fiancé, Jordan Brown. Known for his complicated past with Cassie Randolph and for coming out after being The Bachelor, Colton is finally finding himself after leaving the series. While he's currently competing on the new reality series Beyond The Edge, Colton is seemingly as busy as ever.
Colton may still be focused on his career, but his recent updates for fans have all centered around his relationship with Jordan Brown. The couple officially got engaged in February and have shared nothing but excitement for their futures together. Colton and Jordan bought their first home recently, quickly merging their lives in anticipation of their union. Both Colton and Jordan are ready to plant roots on the west coast, in California, and move on with their future.
After his engagement to Jordan, Colton shared with Us Weekly that he "was born to be a dad." Adding to the news surrounding his relationship with Jordan, Colton opened up about his paternal instincts and hopes to start a family with Jordan. Passionate about his goal to be a parent, Colton said that "there's nothing more in this world that I want than to raise kids...I'm really excited for when that time comes." Colton also added that "there's no true timeline" when it comes to making this dream of his a reality.
When asked about the specifics of wanting to be a father, Colton explained that "life happens...we are enjoying the moment and taking it as it comes." After having a stressful coming out and plenty of backlash after his relationship with Cassie, Colton seems to be in his prime, happy, and in love. Open to all sorts of possibilities for himself and Jordan, Colton seems to be taking his relationship one step at a time, soaking in the joys of being engaged and keeping his dreams of being a parent at the back of his mind.
Colton has had an undeniably difficult past, both on and off of the series. Facing backlash from fans and Bachelor Nation, the former Bachelor is still recovering from being on the series, but he has used his platform to spread positivity and to invite well-needed changes within the franchise. No longer phased by his critics, Colton is only focused on his journey moving forward and his next chapter with Jordan. Colton and Jordan seem to be a perfect match, quickly realizing their compatibility, sharing similar hopes for the future, and boldly expressing their love for one another — and any eventual children.
