Bachelorette: Gabby & Rachel Reveal What They’re Looking For In A Partner
Gabby Windey and Rachel Recchia, stars of the upcoming season of The Bachelorette, revealed what they are looking for in their future partners. On The Bachelor season 26, Clayton Echard told both Gabby and Rachel that he loved them, but he realized that he was the most in love with Susie Evans, with whom he is now in a relationship. Gabby, a 31-year-old ICU nurse from Denver, Colorado, became a fan-favorite because of her funny personality and mature approach to her journey on the show. Her grandfather stole the hearts of Bachelor Nation with his unconditional support and love for Gabby.
Rachel, a 26-year-old pilot and flight instructor from Clermont, Florida, had Bachelor Nation rooting for her as well. With her soft-spoken and sincere demeanor, Rachel allowed herself to be vulnerable and completely open to the journey of finding love. She has a close relationship with her parents, Mary Anne and Tony. Tony is a protective father who wants his daughter to find someone who supports her dream of becoming a pilot. Previously in the season, Rachel had revealed that her ex-boyfriend did not support her career choice because he thought that the traveling involved with being a pilot would put a strain on their relationship.
In an interview with Bachelor Nation, Gabby and Rachel revealed the qualities that they are looking for in their future partners. Gabby said that "humor is a big one," which is not surprising since she is known for her great sense of humor. She went on to say, "But also just emotional intelligence and really knowing who you are as a person. Because I feel like I am a fully developed person, I want someone to be able to meet me where I’m at."
Rachel agreed with Gabby, saying that what she is looking for is "so similar." She said that she wants "someone who supports me, supports my dreams," which she has expressed is important to her because of her career as a pilot. Rachel is also looking for "someone who’s playful and funny and can make me laugh." She said that both she and Gabby are searching for "someone at the end of the day who just is our person." Rachel concluded by declaring, "And we’re ready to find our person!" as both she and Gabby laughed. They are both excited to star on the show together because they have become good friends, and they are ready to apply the lessons that they learned from their experience with Clayton to their new journeys to find love.
After the tumultuous experience they had on The Bachelor, Gabby and Rachel deserve to have an easy and fun time finding love on The Bachelorette. Their season, which premieres in July, is unprecedented as they will both take on the lead role on the show. Hopefully, Gabby and Rachel will find what they are looking for, and they will both find their true loves to whom they can give their final roses.
The Bachelorette season 19 premieres July 11 at 8 p.m. EDT on ABC.
