The Walking Dead Season 11 Episode 15 Trailer: Daryl Gets Armored Up
The promo for The Walking Dead season 11 episode 15 shows Daryl Dixon donning the armor of the Commonwealth. The long-running zombie apocalypse drama, which is based on the Robert Kirkman graphic novel of the same name, has been airing on AMC since 2010. It originally followed Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), a former sheriff who wakes up after a coma to discover that the world has been overrun by the undead. Although other survivors have taken the lead since Rick left the show in season 9, he will be appearing in a planned The Walking Dead movie trilogy that will be released in theaters.
The central location of The Walking Dead season 11, which is based on volumes 175 through to 193 of the original graphic novel, is the Commonwealth. The Commonwealth is an elaborate community of connected enclaves that comprise around 50,000 survivors, and they have a very strict system of rules that the lead group of survivors, including Daryl and Maggie, have taken issue with across the latest episodes. The two groups don't trust each other, and friction is heating up as the second part of the three-part The Walking Dead's final season 11 approaches its finale.
This week, AMC dropped their new promo for The Walking Dead season 11 episode 15 (via Daryl Dixon TV). As tensions continue to rise within the Commonwealth, Daryl and Maggie find themselves at odds as he joins an untrustworthy group of Commonwealth soldiers for an important mission. Season 11, episode 15, which is currently untitled, will stream on AMC+ one week early on March 27, to be followed by its official terrestrial airdate on April 3. The staggered release system has prevented The Walking Dead from doing much promo for episodes ahead of time, as the series is juggling two release schedules — and plenty of spoilers — at once. No further plot details for The Walking Dead season 11 have been revealed at this time, though AMC may drop a brief synopsis a day or so before the streaming date.
The Walking Dead season 11 may have a confusing pattern of release for many fans. However, it is clearly still going strong when it comes to undead mayhem and heated drama between the survivors. The season still has quite a few episodes left to go, but the situation with the Commonwealth is sure to come to a head in upcoming episodes. This conflict will potentially prove the catalyst for the events that will lead to Maggie and Daryl getting their own separate spinoff shows when the main The Walking Dead series finally wraps up and moves off the air.
