Bachelor Nation: Fans React To Nick Viall's Viral Dating Advice

0

Nick Viall's post-Bachelor career has been a success with fans reacting to his viral dating advice, like when he went on  TikTok to clarify when someone is serious about a relationship and when they aren't. People often take any sign of intimacy as an indication of romantic love, and Nick's over it while promoting his new bookDon't Text Your Ex Happy BirthdayAnd Other Advice on Love, Sex, and Dating. It's easy to get wrapped up in the excitement of dating and hope for something serious. However, fans realize that understanding potential partners' motives might be a better path to true love.

Nick went to TikTok to shut down everyone's unrealistic fantasies. He said, "Welcome to my new series, 'it doesn't friggin matter, they still aren't your boyfriend.'" His number one piece of advice was when someone says they like you. Nick commented, "They like a lot of things like carrots; it doesn't mean they want to exclusively eat them." Number two was if they text goodnight. He said, "Listen, you can be polite and noncommittal at the same time." Some Bachelor fans were already unhappy with Nick's podcast advice and weren't prepared for round two. Number three was if they say they have the best time, "they get to have fun with you and still have sex with other people." At number four, Nick wanted to clarify that if they enjoy deep conversations, that just means they are an open book or consider you cheaper than therapy. Number five was if they fell asleep spooning, he believed, "Being comfortable with you doesn't mean they want to prioritize you." While the feedback targeted women, anyone who tends to get overexcited in relationships could learn from him.

The cold-hard dating truth's caught many fans off guard but Nick's been giving followers advice for years. Hannah wrote, "This feels like a personal attack haha" and Nick answered, "But now you can stop choosing to be confused." It has been a rude awakening for those wanting a hookup to be something more, even when there are plenty of red flags. RS joked, "It's that casual intimacy." On a mission to steer his audience straight, Nick reiterated, "When they say they don't want a partner. Believe their words not their actions." Jacqueline Rosey said, "I don't leave my house enough to meet men but honestly this makes me want to continue not leaving my house." It was easy to be pessimistic about the input, but others took it in stride. CBR600chick said, "When he tells you he isn't ready, ladies. It just means your not the one."

From roasting Clayton Echard's hot mess, to engaging with his fans, Nick's always ready to share his two cents. However, some fans took the therapy piece especially hard. Jess VMO said, "D**n I should have been charging for those therapy sessions," to which Nick replied, "D**n right." Overall, the news stung for many ladies, but Nick's follow-up comments proved he was as compassionate as he was frustrated. Others flooded the comment section with follow-up questions, and a handful of women were straight-up grateful. As Hayley Magness teased, Nick was "doing the lord's work."

In a society that makes romantic love a status symbol, especially for women, it's easy to get wrapped up in any "situationship." However, Nick's point is that people shouldn't take a relationship seriously unless their partner explicitly says they should. While Nick had tough love for The Bachelor fans, he dispensed it with care, and many agreed they needed more reality checks.
